The time in the company is what makes the dual study program unique. At Basler, we train according to demand. In addition to your main department, there are of course also assignments in a wide variety of departments. The aim is to learn the workflow and methods of interfacing departments. You will implement optimization projects independently in your team and will work on these and other complex tasks as your own responsibility. Our goal is for you to look at these projects and problems from a variety of perspectives and to develop solutions.

Studies at the Fachhochschule in Wedel
The FH Wedel offers interdisciplinary, practical and international study and teaching in small working groups, as well as a partnership-style exchange with the professors and a friendly environment, ensuring a creative working atmosphere.
The program consists of a mix of computer science, business administration and special e-commerce subjects. At the beginning of your studies you choose a specialization. There are two options: computer science or business. The program is very application-oriented and interdisciplinary. You will benefit from the university's numerous cooperation partners. The fifth semester even includes an important practical project in which students work in a team to develop and implement a suitable online store system for a real business idea.
The regular period of study is seven semesters. Each semester you spend about 16 weeks at the university. There you attend seminars, listen to lectures and write exams. During the semester break, you spend a practicum placement in the company. The sixth semester is a semester-long practicum, which you spend in the company. In the final semester, you are also completely at the company and write your bachelor's thesis there.
