The ace product families: ace Classic, ace U, and ace L
ace Classic
The first ace models with the familiar 29 mm x 29 mm footprint marked a breakthrough for the series. This format is now found in all ace Classic and ace U models.
ace Classic highlights:

With the introduction of Basler's PGI feature set and new CMOS sensors, the ace series took the next step in firmware and sensor technology.

ace L
The ace L has the same firmware features as the ace U, but is additionally equipped with higher resolution 9 and 12 MP Sony Pregius CMOS sensors with optical formats above 1" for brilliant image quality. In order to integrate these larger sensors, the camera body is slightly larger than the other ace models at 40 mm x 30 mm.
