I am trying to use my Basler IP Camera with the Internet Explorer web browser, what do I need to keep in mind?

If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) as your main web browser and you are connecting to a Basler IP camera for the first time, IE will ask you to install an Active X control by clicking on the information bar as shown below. This plug-in is needed to view MJPEG, MPEG4, and H.264 video streams from the camera within the browser. It may take up to several minutes for the information bar to appear.

Once you have allowed installation of the plug-in by clicking on the information bar, you will see an IE security warning asking if you really want to install the plug-in as shown below.

Click the Install button, and the installation will begin. After several minutes, you should begin seeing images streamed from the Basler camera. In you do not see images after several minutes, close Internet Explorer and restart it.
