  • In this role, you will take responsibility for one or more web applications and advise the Product Owners within your team.
  • You will support the Product Manager and UX Designer during the concept stage of projects within the program plan and draw up a concept for implementation based on the specific requirements.
  • In this context, you will take into account the technology stack utilized by Basler and incorporate new technology trends and best-practice approaches.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing the target architecture of our communication platform. You will make decisions regarding infrastructure needs as well as deployed technologies and systems.
  • Within the architecture community, you will be responsible for managing the various interfaces and handling technical challenges relating to CMS, e-commerce, CRM, etc.
  • You will document requirements and decisions relating to architecture, in addition to supporting implementation in the context of agile development processes.
  • As Digital Architect, you will also be responsible for code review, deployment processes, and release management. Last but not least, you will liaise with the Product Owners and the development team for the purpose of coordinating software releases.

Your qualifications

  • This position would be best suited to a candidate with a degree in Computer Science/Business Informatics or comparable vocational qualifications/knowledge.
  • You will have gained several years of professional experience in the technical design of web applications as well as in the development of architectures within larger system environments.
  • Solid skills are required in the following areas:
  • Web infrastructure (e.g., on the basis of cloud platforms such as Azure)
  • Web and enterprise applications (such as CMS, PIM, DAM, or CRM)
  • You will have to be well versed when it comes to modern software engineering processes.
  • Knowledge of agile requirement engineering and the translation into user stories is equally important.

  • Experience with regard to Java, database usage, and PIM projects would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • You will also have to be aware of the fact that things don't always go according to plan. With this in mind, you should always be able to fall back on "plan B" in order to respond rapidly to unforeseen events.
  • A strong hands-on mentality is also considered essential. At the same time, you will remain fully focused on your team and ensure that everyone is involved when you put forward your ideas.
