Warm Up: Basler ToF Camera Ready to Launch into Series Production
3D technology is a hot topic in industrial image processing right now, especially given the thrilling new opportunities opened up by 3D cameras. The Basler ToF camera is a 3D camera operating on the time-of-flight principle. Thanks to the design in samples of Basler’s ToF camera customer interest is rising steadily. Numerous customers are currently testing our Time-of-Flight camera. More and more interesting new applications are emerging throughout this test phase, underscoring the current 3D trend.
Using the third dimension measuring systems can be simplified: Instead of installing multiple cameras and/or laser scanners, one single ToF camera is often enough to achieve the desired result – allowing customers to design their applications more efficiently and cut overall system costs.
With the Basler ToF camera, we also offer the first industrial time-of-flight camera with VGA resolution in the mid-range price segment.
Start of series production for the Basler ToF camera is scheduled for the middle of this year.
