The Basler Light Ring-100OD-IR produces circular incident light and has a light-emitting surface of 67 mm – 101 mm. The LED color is infrared (IR) with a peak wavelength of 850 nm. Via the M8 connector, the IP54-rated ring light can be used either as a standalone light source or—with a Basler Sync Cable—as fully integrated, camera-controlled lighting.
When used with a Basler Sync Cable, the lighting can be controlled directly via the connected Basler camera without an external lighting controller. This reduces integration and cabling efforts as well as the complexity of the vision system.

The lighting can be operated without camera control, either in continuous mode or with triggered light. Optionally, direct current-controlled operation of the LEDs using an external controller is possible.
The ring light for industrial use provides uniform, low-shadow illumination to minimize harsh object shadows. It enables reproducible lighting for reliable inspection results, which is crucial, for example, when inspecting surfaces, components, or codes.
