The Basler Light Dome-100OD-IR provides shadow-free illumination and features a light-emitting surface of 100 mm in diameter with a centrally located camera opening. The LED color is infrared (IR) with a peak wavelength of 850 nm. Via the M8 connector, the IP54-rated dome light can be used either as a standalone light source or—with a Basler Sync Cable—as fully integrated, camera-controlled lighting.
When used with a Basler Sync Cable, the lighting can be controlled directly via the connected Basler camera without an external lighting controller. This reduces integration and cabling efforts as well as the complexity of the vision system.
- Control functions: synchronized flash operation, brightness adjustments, overdrive mode (for maximum light output)
- Control via bidirectional communication over a camera I/O line (Line 3)
- All control functions are GenICam-compliant, allowing them to be controlled via software, such as pylon. No separate software required.

The lighting can be operated without camera control, either in continuous mode or with triggered light. Optionally, the LEDs can be current-controlled using an external controller.
Dome lighting for industrial use provides uniform, diffuse illumination to minimize shadow patterns. It is suitable for illuminating reflective and shiny surfaces.
