Recognition
Face/Iris/Palm/Age/Gender Recognition

In retail, one uses recognition for customized services such as for securing payment transactions or to offer customized information or advertising according to biometric facial identifiers. This can either recognize only gender or age, or the entire face can be compared with known images.
Cameras are deployed to register and recognize faces, for example, in shopping centers, hospitals, casinos, and on large building sites. This technology is used if in a building or on sites certain areas should only be accessible to a limited group of people.
At airport border control cameras are used to compare faces to passport photos.
