The pre-development phase ends with a concept that defines all technological aspects from hardware to application software. Concept development
- Breakdown of requirements into technical characteristics 
- Definition of core elements in terms of suitable imaging and processing components, e.g. optics, sensor, processing system 
- Development of a specific hardware and software concept

Product and software development
In this step, we implement the previously defined concept and develop the system.
Hardware development
- Integration of optics and illumination: development of project-specific lens solutions, project-specific illumination design 
- Sensor integration 
 
- Integration of interfaces for communication with the target system 
- Fulfillment of specific housing requirements, e.g. IP67 suitability 
- Development of a suitable processing platform, e.g. based on NVIDIA® Jetson™, or development of a vision system consisting of frame grabbers with our FPGA programming software VisualApplets and a boost camera 
Software development
- Custom development of system software and firmware 
- System specific application software, e.g. barcode reading 
- Container management for easy deployment of application software
