Compared to the STM-501u, the STM-502u features an IR-pass filter in front of the stereo depth sensors, reducing the influence of visible ambient light. This improves robustness in applications with varying or more challenging lighting conditions. The camera combines a global shutter stereo depth sensor with an integrated RGB sensor, providing both accurate depth information and visual context.
