The pylon AI vTools are vTools that process captured images using deep learning models rather than traditional rule-based algorithms. The models are provided to the pylon AI vTools via the pylon AI Platform.
You can try pylon AI without any risk: you can use the pylon AI Platform free for 30 days and even try the pylon AI vTools free for 180 days. After that, you purchase only the AI vTools you need as plug-ins for your target application.
This is how it works: Register on the login page of the web application, the pylon AI Platform. You will then receive an e-mail with your login details and download links to start your free trial.
Basler does not provide deep learning models with pylon AI. pylon AI is a toolset for solving AI-based vision applications.
pylon AI supports the following AI model formats:
ONNX (Open Neural Network Exchange): a popular format for exchanging AI models between different AI frameworks.
To meet different machine learning and AI needs, the following formats can be converted to ONNX and are supported:
TensorFlow SavedModel: the standard format for TensorFlow models, suitable for use in TensorFlow Serving and other TensorFlow-based environments.
PyTorch ScriptModule: the PyTorch ScriptModule allows you to save models in a serialized format and load them later in the same or another environment.
HDF5 (Hierarchical Data Format): commonly used to store Keras models and provides a flexible and efficient storage solution.
pylon AI is integrated into the pylon Software Suite, so you have all the functionality you need from image acquisition to image analysis in one software environment. You will need the latest version of the pylon Software Suite, which you can download here for free.
To generate a test image data set, you can use a Basler industrial camera and the pylon Viewer, which is part of the pylon Software Suite. The pylon Viewer is the central tool for capturing images, setting image parameters, and saving images.
