dart camera series

The dart M, dart Classic, dart R, and dart E camera families differ in terms of their sensors and interfaces. They are all suitable for a wide range of tasks in the factory sector, with the dart E models being specially designed for embedded applications.

dart M

dart M

The models in the dart M camera family can be expanded modularly from the initial camera module to include a flat flex cable, interface board, and mount. This flexible product concept offers a wide range of configuration options.

  • Camera module with Sony CMOS sensors

  • Option to connect the camera module and interface board via flat flex cables of various lengths

  • Interface board available with AUX power and PoE

  • Available as bare board, with S- and CS-mount

  • With GigE interface

dart Classic

dart Classic

The dart Classic camera models were the first family available as bare board variants with a footprint of only 27 mm x 27 mm. This small design can be found in all subsequent dart camera families.

  • With proven CMOS sensors from onsemi and e2V

  • Available as bare board option, with S- or CS-mounts

  • With USB 3.0 interface

  • Backward compatible with USB 2.0

dart R

dart R

With the introduction of new CMOS sensors and improved features, the dart camera series continued to evolve. The dart R models feature optimized hardware, firmware, and sensor technology.

  • With Sony CMOS sensors from the Pregius S, Pregius, and Starvis series

  • High-speed models available with up to 523 fps

  • Available as bare board option, with S- or CS-mounts

  • With USB 3.0 interface

To the dart R models

dart E

dart E

The dart E camera family features a BCON for MIPI interface, offers lean image processing, and provides the possibility for additional customization on the customer side.

  • With onsemi CMOS sensors with rolling shutter

  • Available as bare board or with S-mount

  • With Basler's embedded BCON for MIPI interface, based on MIPI CSI-2

  • Optional internal image signal processor (ISP)

  • Compatible with embedded processing platforms from NXP® and NVIDIA®

  • Most cost-effective models within the dart camera series

Wide selection of models for various applications

The diverse options for mounting, interfaces, and sensors, combined with the ease of use in embedded vision systems, makes the dart camera series perfect for a wide range of applications. These cameras are the right choice for factory automation, robotics, medical & life sciences, embedded applications, and many more.

dart camera as a bare board variant or with mount

For maximum flexibility in system setup, the dart camera is available as a bare board variant without a lens mount. It then measures only 27 mm x 27 mm with a weight of just 5 g. The board level camera is also available with a housing. It can be purchased with a S-mount or CS-mount and then measures 29 mm x 29 mm with a weight of 15 g.
