The pylon AI vTool uses AI-based optical character recognition (OCR) to accurately capture distorted or poorly marked characters, even if they are not clearly differentiated from the background. This technology delivers accurate results on reflective, low-contrast, and uneven surfaces, as well as on flexible packaging and with differently positioned objects, even in high-speed applications. Characters extracted from images are converted into structured information that is available for further processing.
The OCR deep learning model can be optimized for your processing hardware using our AI software. To perform fast character recognition, define the relevant area (ROI) and specify a text format if necessary.
