At the international machine vision trade show in Stuttgart, Basler is showcasing new products from its broad portfolio through real-world examples.

At VISION 2026 (October 6–8, Hall 8, Booth 8D50), Basler is positioning itself as a comprehensive solutions provider for machine vision tasks. Under the motto “Accelerate Your Vision: Everything You Need for Your Vision Application,” the company is presenting a coordinated portfolio of cameras, components, software, and services—specially developed to meet the diverse requirements of the machine vision industry.

From components to complete solutions

Basler has evolved from a camera and components manufacturer into a solution-oriented partner. At its booth, the company demonstrates exactly how cameras, lenses, lighting, software, and services work together as integrated systems—not as isolated products.

Approaches to addressing key challenges

The Basler trade show team will be showcasing practical examples of the most common customer requirements in Stuttgart:

  • Combinability of vision components: Basler demonstrates the flexibility of its vision solutions with a variety of live demonstrations, including:

    • AI-powered OCR and barcode recognition with dimensioning of moving objects

    • Centralized lens and lighting control, including autofocus comparison

    • Vision setup with IP67-certified components for use in demanding environments.

  • Mobility: Compact 2D and 3D vision technology with an optimized balance of size, weight, and power consumption, combined with impressive cost-effectiveness—ideal for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

  • System performance: High-speed and high-throughput demonstrations using the ace 2 10GigE camera and the racer 2 S trilinear color camera for high-quality inspections of moving materials.

Focus on innovation

Basler is introducing several technological firsts and innovations:

  • Lens and lighting control: Control of lenses and/or lighting via a single camera I/O line and within a single SDK.

  • Basler ace 2 10GigE: A 10GigE camera with a compact form factor of 29 mm × 29 mm, equipped with PoE and RDMA.

  • Vision simulation: Virtual testing of camera, lens, and lighting setups, and generation of synthetic AI training data before deploying actual hardware.

  • Agentic development: A concept for AI-assisted vision engineering that combines a vision simulation agent with a pylon coder agent.

Peter Behringer, Head of Marketing EMEA at Basler, is looking forward to welcoming customers and business partners to the booth. “At VISION 2026, we’re not just showcasing products—we’re demonstrating how Basler operates as a full-line vision provider and drives the industry forward with innovations," said Behringer. "With technologies such as lens and lighting control and vision simulation, we’re shaping the future of machine vision. After all, it’s the interaction of cameras, lenses, lighting, software, and services as integrated systems that ultimately makes the difference between individual components and a true solution.”
