The Basler Light Bar-90x200-Blue produces a narrow strip of light witha light-emitting surface of 90 mm x 200 mm. The LED color is blue with a peak wavelength of 465 nm. Via the M8 connector, the IP54-rated light bar can be used either as a standalone light source or—with a Basler Sync Cable—as fully integrated, camera-controlled lighting.

When used with a Basler Sync Cable, the lighting can be controlled directly via the connected Basler camera without an external lighting controller. This reduces integration and cabling efforts as well as the complexity of the vision system.

  • Control functions: synchronized flash operation, brightness adjustments, overdrive mode (for maximum light output)
  • Control via bidirectional communication over a camera I/O line (Line 3)
  • All control functions are GenICam-compliant, allowing them to be controlled via software, such as pylon. No separate software required.
  • Automatic detection of the lighting model and initial configuration by the camera

The lighting can be operated without camera control, either in continuous mode or with triggered light. Optionally, direct current-controlled operation of the LEDs using an external controller is possible.

The bar light for industrial use provides an elongated strip of light that can be used to inspect long workpieces and highlight the edges of an object. It is suitable for nearly all inspection tasks, offers flexibility in terms of the lighting angle, and can also be used to illuminate an object from multiple sides.
