Features of the Basler Stereo ace
Our stereo ace cameras are an easy-to-integrate range of active stereo cameras that are particularly suitable for logistics and factory automation applications. They offer excellent image quality, even on difficult surfaces.
Stereo data processing
To enable robots to perceive their environment in real time, the left camera provides the base image. The depth image is created by triangulating the stereo images using the SGM method and serves as input for generating the point cloud and for 3D reconstruction. The confidence image provides the measure of confidence in the measured values for further processing.
Performance characteristics
High-resolution 3D data even for scenes with objects that have little or no structure. Initiated by the integrated high-performance pattern projector.
Minimal latency times and fast cycle times thanks to the integrated Basler ace 2 cameras
Permanently stable 3D data in the field thanks to high-quality factory calibration and dynamic self-calibration routines
Quick and easy integration thanks to the pylon SDK
Plug-and-play
The Basler Stereo Supplementary Package for pylon enables effortless installation and intuitive operation of the camera. Basler's Stereo ace offers direct support for the open source library Aravis and thus ensures a high level of compatibility. It is also directly compatible with GenICam GenTL and compliant 3rd party software.
Customization
Flexible customization and a wide range of options for precise image processing according to your individual requirements.
The Stereo ace series includes a built-in projector as standard and is available with base distances of 100 mm, 200 mm and 300 mm in color and monochrome versions.
In addition to the four standard configurations of this camera, customer-specific adaptations can be made quickly and easily, depending on the order volume.
The stereo ace is optionally available on the basis of other ace 2 GigE camera models, for example with a different resolution. Suitable lenses, mounting options and lighting can be varied accordingly.
Basler Application Software for Robotics
An extensive selection of application-specific 3D software modules provides solutions for your individual application. With the integration of a Camera Cube I or 3D Camera Cube S the modules can be easily activated on the Basler Stereo ace cameras and intuitively operated via the sensor's standard interface. Useful optional hardware add-ons can further optimize the operation of the cameras.
