Lens and lighting control

Discover a vision system that lets you control the lens andlighting directly through the camera. The entire configuration is handled within a single SDK, such as pylon. You’ll benefit from minimal hardware and software requirements as well as exceptionally easy integration.

Our Basler Lights

Our LED lighting systems combine lighting and control in a single device. All Basler Lights provide the uniform illumination required for reproducible image quality. At the same time, they can be controlled directly through the Basler camera using the same SDK.

Lighting control in detail

When used with a Basler Sync Cable, all Basler Lights can be controlled directly through the connected Basler camera. This is how to enable even the most sophisticated functions in perfect sync with your camera.

Low system complexity and costs
- Control via bidirectional communication over a camera I/O line (Line 3). No external light controller required.

Types of lighting and their properties

Bar light
Bar lights produce a narrow strip of light useful for inspecting long, thin workpieces or highlighting the edges of an object.
Ring light
Ring lights are suitable for more matte, non-reflective materials.
Flat dome light
Flat dome lights can be used for inspection of low reflective surfaces.
Dome light
Dome lighting creates uniform illumination.
Coaxial light
Coaxial lgihts are suitable for reflective surfaces.
Spot light
Spot lights provide an intense and spatially limited light pattern.
