How was your path at Basler?

In 2012, I started training as an industrial clerk and finished after 2.5 years. It was unusual in that I worked part-time, since I had a child. Through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry I learned that Basler also provides part-time training. I was hired after the training. I decided on bookkeeping, where I am still happy to this day.

As a mother, what do you particularly appreciate about Basler?

I like the flexible working hours the most. You can start work very early or work until late, just as it fits into your day. But the understanding attitude of the team, for example when you can’t come one day, is also tremendous. And finally, the emergency child care here on site. If something happens, you can have your child cared for here, it’s near you and that’s a relief.

Can you continue your professional education despite working part-time?

What I find interesting here is that you can always devote yourself to new areas of responsibility. It's not just stupid work, you grow with the company. I am currently working on the digitization of our processes. Although I have a long commute to work, Basler found a way for me to work on this exciting project. I work from home twice a week and am in the office two days a week. In this way I can make my contribution and at the same time balance my private life with my job.
