Service and Repair for Discontinued Products
Like all manufacturers, Basler must periodically discontinue cameras and accessory products that have reached the end of their natural product life cycle. Our policies call for us to announce upcoming discontinuation events nine months ahead of the 'last time buy' opportunity for cameras and six months ahead for accessories. The 'last time shipment' opportunity for cameras is thus approx. three months before discontinuation for cameras and approx. one month for accessories.
After more than 20 years of experience in the Machine Vision market, we are fully aware of the consequences of discontinuations. For this reason we maintain a certain stock of replacement parts for discontinued products, with the goal of offering technical support and repairs for cameras up to three years after the 'last time buy' deadline. Please note however that unforeseen events can cause deviations from those targets.
