Update from the Board of Directors on the Corona Virus (COVID-19) Situation

„Let’s get through this together!“

Basler continues to monitor developments worldwide regarding the COVID-19 virus. Our focus is on the well-being of our employees, partners and customers. By adhering to all precautionary measures currently available to us, we have so far been able to successfully protect ourselves against the COVID-19 disease, maintain our production and delivery capacity in full and thus, despite the currently difficult circumstances, to continue our successful business performance of the past year.

We are responding to the recent increase in the number of infections with a differentiated package of measures that covers all Basler sites and takes local developments into account. To this end, we are seeking intensive advice from medical experts. This means taking necessary measures to move the majority of employees to “home office” working conditions. For colleagues in production and other location-dependent functions, we have adapted the room situation so that the rules of distance could be observed without restriction. Furthermore, we implemented additional cleaning measures in jointly used areas and are following contact protocols.

We are confident that with our unique capability of having two independent production sites (Germany and Singapore), we are well equipped to maintain our industry-leading delivery capabilities even if the current bottlenecks in the semiconductor and electronics procurement markets lead to extended delivery times across the industry. For pre and post sales, our technical support teams are fully up and running and able to assist our customers as well as our Order Administration teams worldwide. Although this is not business as usual for anyone, we are confident that we are well prepared to serve you during these uncertain times.

We will continue to share guidance and information as it becomes relevant. As we have done for over 30 years, we continue to make customers our #1 priority. Stay safe and let’s get through this together.
