Basler ace – More Versatile than Any Other Camera Series

The ace offers cost-efficient product development combined with the highest quality standards. Continuous innovations and the use of proven technologies while ensuring the excellent price/performance ratio are one reason why the ace camera series is so enormously popular.

The ace is currently the largest camera series in the industrial image processing market. More than 130 models offer a broad selection of sensors from different manufacturers, various interfaces, resolutions, features and sizes.

All you need is ace!

To make the selection easier for you, we divided the ace into three product lines: ace classic, ace U and ace L. Find out which ace product line is best for your needs.

ace classic

The first ace models marked a breakthrough of the 29 mm x 29 mm footprint familiar from the analog world. By now this “sugar cube” format has firmly established itself and can be found in all ace classic and ace U models.

The ace classic product line includes CMOS sensors from CMOSIS, e2V and ON Semiconductor (MT series) as well as CCD sensors from Sony. ace classic gives you a choice between the most popular camera interfaces on the market: GigE, USB 3.0 and Camera Link.

ace U and ace L

The ace U and ace L have the popular PGI feature set, the unique in-camera image optimization from Basler. This new development marks a milestone in the portfolio of the ace series. The ace U and ace L product lines include the latest popular CMOS sensors from Sony and ON Semiconductor. All ace U and ace L cameras are available with a GigE or USB 3.0 interface.

ace U and ace L

The ace U line includes models with the Pregius and STARVIS sensors from Sony as well as the PYTHON sensors from ON Semiconductor.

You can find the large-format sensors of the Sony Pregius series with up to 1.1" in the ace L product line, which has a footprint of 30 mm x 40 mm due to the larger sensor format.
