Basler Cameras Provide Security Surveillance for Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA)
Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) is one of 15 Regional Transit Authorities within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and has been providing public transportation services since 1976. For its premises in the city of Hyannis, the CCRTA was looking for an engineered surveillance system that would curtail criminal activity, liability issues and loitering, in and around their buses and on their premises in the city of Hyannis. In addition to the extensive interior and exterior CCRTA grounds, surveillance also needed to cover adjoining city streets. Over and above a number of technical specifications, the system also had to fulfill all requirements of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, with regard to hardening the facility and ensuring that it was capable of managing an emergency event. System integrator Kratos|HBE, and network design company Systems Synergies, worked together to create a comprehensive network solution that would provide reliable, effective 24/7 surveillance while at the same time fulfilling all legal requirements. They selected Basler IP Cameras and Fluidmesh Networks wireless components for their excellent image quality and reliable performance.
