FluxData's Multispectral System Uses Basler scout cameras for its International Space Station Agricultural Camera (ISSACTM)
FluxData was commissioned to build the image system assembly for the 2nd generation International Space Station Agricultural Camera (ISSAC™) that is currently operational aboard the International Space Station. The camera system provides continuous images for research, educational and rapid response natural disaster uses. ISSAC™ was designed to allow for International Space Station crewmembers to easily replace parts if they fail during operation. Primarily conceived to help farmers and ranchers increase productivity and benefit from precision farming, ISSAC™ has produced images beyond its agricultural basis. ISSAC™ has acquired rapid response imagery of worldwide disasters such as the Fukushima earthquake in Japan, volcanic eruptions in countries in Italy and Chile, and flooding across the Northern Plains and Midwestern regions of the United States.
