Frame grabber trigger boards control image and signal processing
To control image acquisition and synchronize an image processing system’s hardware peripherals, such as cameras, lighting, light barriers, shaft encoders, etc. in real time, frame grabbers offer not only image processing but also high-performance signal processing that handles General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) data signals. Trigger boards are used for this purpose. They control the frame grabber’s image acquisition process and the exposure times of the cameras.
A connector is located on the frame grabbers to plug in the trigger boards. They are connected via a 34-pin flat ribbon cable. The cable is available in various designs (left, right and customer-specific for multi-devices).
