The New pylon 5 Summer Release is Here!

Our new pylon 5 release (version 5.0.9) is now available to download from our website. In addition to several bug fixes and small improvements, this release offers the following highlights:

Search function in the pylon Feature Tree

The pylon Feature Tree now offers a search function that lets you quickly and easily find all camera features with names containing the search term you entered.

pylon for Linux/ARM now also as a 64-bit version

pylon now also supports the latest 64-bit ARM v8 processors and platforms such as Nvidia Tegra X1/X2 (e.g. Jetson X1/X2), Amlogic S905 (e.g. ODROID C2) or Snapdragon 410c (e.g. Dragonboard 410c)

pylon Viewer and IP configurator now also for ARM-based platforms

For the first time, the popular pylon Viewer and IP configurator are now also available on Linux/ARM-based platforms.

pylon for Linux now also as a Debian package

For users of Debian and related Linux distributions (e.g. Ubuntu), the installation of pylon is even easier, thanks to a Debian installation package.

You can find a complete overview of the new features in pylon in the pylon Release Notes

USB 3.0 Bandwidth Manager now also available for Linux

This simple tool enables you to check whether your USB 3.0 camera reliably delivers all images to your application (such as the pylon Viewer) at the specified bandwidth settings. In this way you can optimize your USB 3.0 setup in terms of maximum image data throughput and reliability. The load from image data transfer can be calibrated for each USB 3.0 camera connected so that all cameras can transmit their image data without errors using the maximum bandwidth available.
