The New pylon 5 Release – Video Recording with the Latest MPEG-4 Encoder and Even Better User-friendliness!
The new pylon 5 release is now ready for download. Thanks to the latest MPEG-4 encoder and better video recording functions, it offers a convenient and intuitive way of taking single images, recording videos as well as image or video sequences as time-lapse recordings both in the pylon Viewer and in pylon APIs.
Assessing camera image quality is a piece of cake with the new histogram function in the pylon Viewer. Use the histogram function to calculate and display the distribution of gray values in the active image. You automatically get information about the minimum and maximum gray values as well as the arithmetic mean and standard deviation. All you need is one click to display a logarithmic scale version of the histogram. Use the zoom and pan functions to analyze critical areas more precisely. The Save and Copy buttons allow you to save histogram data (in a CSV file for further analysis in other programs, for example).
Do you want to use the powerful pylon Viewer in other languages than English? No problem! With the new language feature you can now use the pylon Viewer in languages such as Chinese, Japanese or Korean. Simply select your preferred language in the pylon Viewer and start checking out your Basler camera in a familiar environment.
You can find a complete overview of the new pylon features in the pylon Release Notes.
