Basler Lenses Win Prestigious Award in Japan
EizoJoho Industrial, the leading authoritative monthly magazine for machine vision, with more than 18,000 copies per issue circulation in Japan, has recently announced its 13th annual new product awards. Winners are voted in by the magazine’s readers, who are professionals and researchers from machine-vision-related industries. Basler Lenses have successfully impressed the readers and earned the Silver Award among 114 other nominations.
With CMOS sensors trending smaller and smaller over the last few years, Basler strives to help vision users take advantage of the latest cost-saving advances in sensor technology. Designed in cooperation with Fujinon, one of the world’s premier optical technology firms, with some 70 years of innovation to its credit, Basler Lenses are specifically developed for sensors smaller than 1/2", and are optimized for use with Basler ace, dart and pulse cameras. The strong resolution of 5 MP, squeezed into the size of a 1/2.5" sensor, bring out the smallest details with an exceptionally high resolution of 2.2 µm [230 lp/mm] to ensure razor-sharp images. Six different focal lengths allow for flexible use in various machine vision applications, at an unbeatable price/performance ratio starting at € 99.
Mr. Ishimaru Hironori, Basler Japan Key Account Manager, comments: “It is a great honor to receive this award. This shows that Basler Lenses are receiving very positive feedback from the Japan market and we are confident that Basler Lenses can help our customers to benefit from the latest sensor technology simply by selecting the right lens size to match their camera sensors”.
