Basler Premium Lenses C125: Why do 1/2.5" Basler Lenses Often Fit Better than 2/3" Lenses?

Most lenses are designed for 2/3" sensors, which works perfectly fine for cameras equipped with a sensor of that size. In response to the trend towards smaller sensor sizes, Basler has developed lenses with a small image circle that matches the small surface of modern sensors. Basler Lenses are produced by Fujinon exclusively for Basler.

To best take advantage of their cost-optimized design for a multitude of applications, they are available in six different focal lengths:

• 4 mm
• 6 mm
• 8 mm
• 12 mm
• 16 mm
• 25 mm
