Vision-guided Robotics Made Easy with drag&bot
In the past, the use of robots with vision components has posed great challenges for many small and medium-sized companies. Without expensive experts with knowledge of the manufacturer-specific programming language, working with robots was quickly limited.
The drag&bot software now simplifies the programming of industrial robots and enables companies to use robots without expert knowledge. Different robot functions – such as movements, closing the gripper or locating a workpiece – can be selected, combined and adapted in a graphical user interface using drag-and-drop.
The Basler pylon Camera Software Suite for Linux was integrated into the drag&bot software. The integration of the software suite makes it possible to install and calibrate Basler 2D cameras in the drag&bot software with just a few mouse clicks. The camera is then ready for use and image processing functions, in particular for part localization, can be used in robotics applications via drag&bot's graphical user interface.
You can find more information about drag&bot on our website . The Basler cameras are integrated via the pylon camera driver for the Robot Operating System (ROS). An enhanced version of the pylon ROS driver is available for download via github.
