Setting up a Stable USB 3.0 Camera System - New Basler White Paper
Since its introduction in January 2013, the USB3 Vision standard
has continuously gained in importance. A growing range of camera makers are working with the standard, and the number of compatible peripheral devices is rising rapidly. This growth can be attributed in no small part to the twilight status of older interfaces such as FireWire (IEEE 1394), leading them to being replaced by USB 3.0. The USB3 Vision standard is based on the new USB 3.0 interface that is widely available on the mass market.
Nevertheless, there are some concerns about the potential stability of a USB 3.0 camera system. These concerns are unfounded: Our new White Paper "Setting up a Stable USB 3.0 Camera System"
explains the key elements of setting up this kind of system and which points require special consideration.
