Intrigued by 3D Vision and Embedded Vision? Come see us in Vancouver!

Come to the Canadian Machine Vision Conference organized by the AIA and stop by our tabletop to see the newly released Basler Time-of-Flight (ToF) Camera. Using a light beam that travels to the object and back, this camera calculates distance and volume. This technology can be used to analyze volume, shape or position of objects, and detect low-contrast parts and defects. In factory automation, a ToF Camera allows picking and sorting objects from bins and belts, verifying content of boxes, and portioning of packaged food. In the medical field, the ToF Camera can be used for monitoring patients in intensive care. In logistics, it is ideal for obstacle recognition.

One of Basler's projects involves an intelligent, driverless reach truck which uses three ToF Cameras to autonomously navigate a logistics facility and adapt to new conditions. It also follows instructions given by gestures. We will tell you more, stop by our tabletop!

At the conference Marcus Müller, embedded expert and Partner Manager at Basler, will also give a talk on Embedded Vision and the convergence between computer and machine vision. At the tabletop Basler will show the Time-of-Flight Camera, the ace camera with Sony Pregius sensors and PYTHON sensors from ON Semiconductor. You will also see the dart, our bare-board camera suited for projects in the embedded world, and Basler Lenses.
