Embedded Vision Kit from Basler Wins Award at embedded world
At this year's embedded world tradeshow in Nuremberg the dart BCON for MIPI Development Kit with Snapdragon 820 received the embedded award in the Embedded Vision category.
The Embedded Vision Kit convinced the jury with its innovative product concept: The Development Kit contains the first camera module that uses the unmatched image signal processor of Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoC under Linux. This significantly reduces the overall processor load of the system and thus frees more computing power for the actual application.
Basler's new development kit offers a complete development platform for demanding embedded vision projects by combining powerful embedded processing and CSI-2 interface technology with standards and functions from the world of Machine Vision.
The dart BCON for MIPI Development Kit consists of a 5 MP, 60 fps dart camera module with BCON for MIPI interface and a processing board, equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. You will receive a ready-to-use sample setup and a Board Support Package with all necessary drivers for Linux (Linaro) and the proven Basler pylon Camera Software Suite. The dkevelopment Kit thus offers the same ease of integration for Basler camera modules with MIPI CSI-2 interface as for any plug-and-play camera interface, such as USB 3.0.
