Clinically Clean: Dust Protection for MED ace
In order to investigate the smallest structures, medical or scientific imaging laboratories often use microscopic methods with optical magnifications. Particles in the optical path, for example on the sensor glass, can have a disturbing effect depending on the aperture and the associated f-stop numbers and can significantly impair the evaluation of the image information. To prevent such contamination, Basler has developed the Dust Protection Feature Set for selected models of its MED ace camera series.
In her Product Insight "Image Quality in Medical & Life Sciences: Influence of Particles in the Optical Path", Basler Product Manager Dr. Melanie Gräsel explains the interrelationships and effects of contamination as a function of f-stop number and position in the optical path with the help of comparative illustrations and clearly describes how the new Dust Protection Feature Set works.
The Basler MED ace has been specifically designed to meet the needs of medical & life science applications.
