Basler Grows at High Profitability and Presents Its Positive Forecast
Basler is currently performing better than industry rates in the image processing sector, which reported a significant decrease in the first nine months. Incoming orders and sales increased by 5 percent compared to the same period from the previous year. Basler even increased its pre-tax results by 5.0 million Euro--or 38 percent--to 18.1 million Euro (previous year: 13.1 million Euro) and achieved a pre-tax return rate of 14 percent.
The high growth of the first quarter slackened in the course of the second and third quarter. For the fourth quarter, the management assumes that incoming orders will seasonally increase again, although with relatively weak sales and results due to higher risks on the sales and procurement markets.
Overall, the Basler management confirms and solidifies its forecast for the entire year of 2020 at the upper end of the corridor with the group’s sales of 165 million Euro and a pre-tax return rate of 10 percent. The management is proud of what has been achieved together and continues to be positive about the future. In its medium-term planning the organization therefore still intends to reach a sales level of approximately 250 million Euro.
