Basler boost Cameras for Medical & Life Sciences
The latest CMOS sensors from Sony and the new CoaXPress 2.0 standard: this promising pair, combined in the new boost camera family, also provides high-performance support in medical and technical lab applications, thanks to high resolution and fast data transfers. The new CXP-12 interface supports data rates up to 12.5 Gbps per channel with a maximum cable length of 40 m. As a result, the full bandwidth of up to 93 fps of the high-resolution 9 and 12 MP sensors can be utilized – and this almost independently of the host PC location.
In surgery this can offer helpful support to surgical teams during medical operations, for example with surgical microscopes that can provide live images with the help of an integrated camera. For the operating staff, these images provide not just necessary insights into the surgical progress, they can also be used to mark tumors in fluorescence-assisted tasks. A fluid frame rate with a high level of details, optimal contrast and excellent color rendering are the indispensable properties that the Basler boost camera excels at in its full scope.
