Dr. Dietmar Ley
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Dr. Dietmar Ley has been the CEO of Basler AG since February 2000. He is responsible for Research and Development, Organizational Development and Human Resources. Dietmar Ley joined Basler in 1993 after earning his doctorate in computer vision and was appointed to Basler’s executive management team in 1996. Prior to this, he worked for Philips GmbH, Siemens AG and Alcatel AG. Dietmar Ley also addresses vision technology topics outside of the company: from 2003 to 2018 he was a member of the Management Board of the VDMA’s Machine Vision department - the largest German federation of vision technology companies. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Management Board of the Robotics & Automation department of the VDMA.
Alexander Temme
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Alexander Temme was appointed to the Board on January 1, 2021. He is responsible for Product Distribution (Sales, Communications, Service), Solutions Business Management and worldwide Basler subsidiaries. Since joining Basler AG in 2002, he has held several senior sales positions and since 2010 has been responsible for managing the global sales. In addition, since 2018, he has managed Basler AG's business with Embedded Vision Components. Alexander Temme holds a university degree (Dipl.-Ing. FH) in chemical engineering. After completing his studies he was active in sales for a number of companies.
Arndt Bake
Chief Digital Officer (CDO) / Chief Innovation Officer (CIO)

Arndt Bake has been member of the Management Board since January 2011. Before joining the Management Board he had been Business Unit Manager of the Components business segment and responsible for Basler’s business operations. Until end of 2013 he led the Basler Product Management, Production and Supply Chain Management. Since January 2014 he has been responsible for Strategic Marketing and Product Management. In his current role of CDO and CIO, he is in charge of IT, SAP, Digital and Software Business, as well as Innovation since March 2021.
Arndt Bake has a Dipl. Ing. degree in electronics engineering and an MBA degree. In his former business career he worked in product marketing functions in the semiconductor industry before entering Basler in 2001.
Hardy Mehl
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Chief Operations Officer (COO), deputy CEO

Hardy Mehl has been on the Management Board of Basler AG since January 2014. He heads the Finance, Investor Relations, Administration, Operations, and Product Business and is also deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Management Board. Hardy Mehl joined Basler AG in 1999 and held various management positions in the company before his appointment to the Management Board. He was responsible for product management, business development and a new business unit. Before Hardy Mehl joined Basler AG, he worked in the petrochemical and minerals industries. He has a commercial professional background with a university degree in commercial studies and an Executive MBA from ESMT.
