Immediate start date Full-time contract – 40 hours/week

Your responsibilities

This is your chance to join our 30-strong international procurement team covering the areas of strategic, operational, and project purchasing as well as supplier quality management. Your focus will be on ensuring that Production is supplied with series materials on time and in the correct quantities. This includes the following areas of responsibility: 
  • You will draw up scheduling strategies for the commodity group and implement them accordingly.
  • You will be responsible for ordering series materials on the basis of existing supplier and price specifications, in addition to overseeing dunning procedures.
  • Your tasks will also include monitoring deviations from forecasts and overseeing missing parts management in order to initiate further steps if necessary.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the following aspects – and implementing improvements if necessary:
    • Delivery or order lot sizes
    • Changes, discontinuations, and low demand with regard to affected items
    • Internal and external safety stock as well as items managed by logistics system (Kanban, Konsi, JIT) 
    • Planning and procurement processes in cooperation with suppliers
  • Last but not least, you will take on tasks in supplier management, such as supplier evaluation, support, and integration.

Your profile

  • This position calls for at least 4 years of professional experience in purchasing, at least 2 years of which in scheduling or a comparable position.
  • This will be underpinned by a commercial or technical apprenticeship in this field or comparable practical knowledge and experience. 
  • Proficiency in the targeted use of the SAP (ERP) MM module and MS-Office is essential.
  • You will need extensive knowledge of
    • Scheduling types and forecasting methods and their interrelationships in SAP
    • The commodity group in question (suppliers, supply chains, bottlenecks)
    • The use of sourced materials in the various products 
    • All possible demand generators (planning, orders, reservations)
  • In addition, you will require a basic understanding of modern procurement tools and methods (e.g., EDI, B2B platforms, SAP add-on) and logistics concepts (e.g., Kanban, VMI, Konsi, JIT).
  • Building on your open, confident, and communicative manner, you will maintain a close dialogue with interfacing points of contact.

  • Finally, a good command of German and English (also at a negotiating level) is essential.
