Digital Solution Architect (m/f/d)

Starting immediately in Ahrensburg
Full-time contract with 40 hours per week 

Basler is a leading international manufacturer of imaging components for computer vision applications such as cameras, lenses, frame grabbers, software as well as embedded vision solutions, customized products, and consulting services. The products are used in a variety of computer vision markets, including factory automation, medical, traffic, logistics, retail, and robotics. Founded in 1988, the Basler Group employs approximately 800 people at its headquarters in Ahrensburg and other locations in Europe, Asia, and North America. 
 

Your responsibilities

The Digital Business Management team oversees the digitalization of the customer journey and develops digital web products/services for this purpose.
Overall responsibility for these digital products lies with the Product Owner (PO) team, which consists of a Product Manager and the Digital Solution Architect.
  • As Digital Solution Architect, you will be responsible for translating customer and business requirements for our digital products into technologies, systems, applications, and development tools.
  • In this context, you will take into account the technology stack utilized by Basler and incorporate new state-of-the-art technology trends and best-practice approaches.
  • On the basis of MVP, you will develop digital products with the stipulation that only verified customer must-haves shall be implemented. In an iterative process, you will develop the product to final maturity. 
  • As regards the implementation of the digital product, we use a slightly modified Scrum process.
    You will be responsible for ensuring process compliance. Together with the PM you will thus coordinate product development.
  • As part of the PO team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the product quantifiably meets customer and business requirements upon conclusion of the development process.

Your Qualifications

  • You will have gained several years of professional experience in the technical design of web applications as well as in the development of solution architectures within larger system environments.
  • This position would be best suited to a candidate with a degree in Computer Science/Business Informatics or comparable vocational qualifications. 
  • Solid skills are required in the following areas:
    • Standard web infrastructures (e.g., on the basis of cloud platforms such as Azure)
    • Relevant enterprise applications (such as e-commerce systems, CMS, and PIM)
    • Architecture approaches (e.g., Monolith vs. Microservice architecture)
    • Web technologies (backend and frontend)
    • Tracking technologies
  • You will already have gained experience as a Product Owner or as a member of an agile development team. 
  • Knowledge of agile requirement engineering and the translation into user stories is equally important.
  • You will also need a proven track record in applying system selection methods.
  • In addition, the position calls for demonstrable experience in project management relating to digitalization and online projects.
  • You will also have to be aware of the fact that things don't always go according to plan. With this in mind, you should always be able to fall back on "plan B" in order to respond rapidly to unforeseen events. 
  • A strong hands-on mentality is also considered essential. At the same time, however, you will remain fully focused on your team and ensure that everyone is involved when you put forward your ideas. 
  • Thanks to your creative and innovative mindset, you will also be able to familiarize yourself quickly with new topics.
  • Finally, you will need a good command of German and English.
