Multi-touch displays for intuitive interaction
eyefactive develops interactive multi-touch displays in a variety of formats and innovative multi-user software. The company is dedicated to creating collaborative multi-touch and multi-user experiences on large-scale touchscreens - for a more creative and communicative human-computer interaction of the future. Multimedia content can be intuitively controlled with fingers on oversized displays integrated into tables and walls, allowing any number of people to collaborate at the same time.
Precise MultiTouch and object recognition
eyefactive's proprietary touch and object recognition technology is implemented using cameras in combination with the intelligent EVOVIS image processing software. Basler dart bareboard cameras are integrated into a custom camera housing made of milled aluminum from eyefactive. Thanks to an electromechanical filter changer between the sensor and lens, the system recognizes either only infrared light or the entire light spectrum including visible light. A mezzanine board developed in-house provides space for the trigger input and for controlling the filter changer to the camera.
Flexible performance with the Basler dart
The compact design of the Basler dart ensures maximum flexibility when installed in the camera housing of eyefactive. This flexibility continues with the dart daA1600-60um model: it offers a choice of 60 fps at very high resolution or up to 120 fps with a lower ROI (region of interest), allowing eyefactive to select the appropriate speed depending on customer requirements. The EVOVIS software evaluates this image data using intelligent image processing algorithms: It delivers reliable, fast, and accurate detection of an unlimited number of touches, movements, and objects.
