Starting immediately, Full-time with 40 hours peer week

Basler is a leading international manufacturer of imaging components for computer vision applications such as cameras, lenses, frame grabbers, software as well as embedded vision solutions, customized products and consulting services. The products are used in a variety of computer vision markets, including factory automation, medical, traffic, logistics, retail, and robotics. Founded in 1988, the Basler Group employs approximately 1000 people at its headquarters in Ahrensburg (near Hamburg) and other locations in Europe, Asia and North America.

This position is located in Exton, PA.  This position is primarily focused on sales prospecting activities, managing accounts, the utilization of an internal Salesforce.com database and fielding and qualifying incoming sales inquiries by phone and e-mail. 
 

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating sales by managing existing accounts and finding new business through prospecting activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of Basler products, applications and competitive products.
  • Develop the ability to understand who our target customers are and what projects are viable to pursue so that time and resources are spent wisely.
  • Responsible for timely, efficient and effective lead follow-up and/or distribution.  Specifically, determine which leads should be managed by the Inside Sales Team, which leads should be handed-off to a Key Account Manager and which leads should be forwarded to a Channel Partner.
  • Works with the Partner Manager to ensure that leads are fairly distributed between Channel Partners
  • Develop expertise and discipline regarding the use of Salesforce.com in order to ensure that customer and market information is accurate and opportunities are updated and maintained.
  • Effectively utilize support resources within Basler Inc. and Basler AG.
  • Develop sufficient application knowledge to assist customers and effectively sell Basler products and solutions.
  • Participation in tradeshows as needed.

Your qualifications 

  • Four year college degree is preferred but not required.
  • Technical affinity and ability to develop basic knowledge of computer vision components and vision applications.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software operating systems.
  • Taking ownership of problems and opportunities and seeing them through to successful resolution.
  • Must enjoy and possess strong phone and email communication skills.
  • Must have the ability and inclination to pursue new business.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt and take on new tasks and responsibilities in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong team focus.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
