Basler is a leading international manufacturer of imaging components for computer vision applications such as cameras, lenses, frame grabbers, software as well as embedded vision solutions, customized products and consulting services. The products are used in a variety of computer vision markets, including factory automation, medical, traffic, logistics, retail, and robotics. Founded in 1988, the Basler Group employs approximately 800 people at its headquarters in Ahrensburg (near Hamburg) and other locations in Europe, Asia and North America.

Your responsibilities

  • Regular travel to visit customers and partners in Scandinavia
  • Work in close partnership with existing Channel Partners
  • Implement an effective go-to-market strategy congruent with corporate goals
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability towards sales objectives
  • Maximize Basler revenue growth and market share in Scandinavia
  • Active working with colleagues across the world with occasional meetings at company headquarters in Germany
  • Deepen the relationship with multinational key accounts
  • Leverage the unique opportunities including embedded vision, AI, Industry 4.0, 3D vision etc.
  • Develop market intelligence and analysis sufficient to contribute to key decision making in the strategy, tactics, and execution processes
  • Uncover growth opportunities including existing and new markets while maintaining an understanding of how these opportunities fit into established strategic direction
  • Extensive usage of CRM system (salesforce.com) for efficient and organised opportunity management
  • Manage accurate product forecasts
  • Regular customer interaction in order to ensure a strong knowledge about customer requirements, behaviors, buying processes and trends
  • Trade show participation in order to interact with customers, assess competitors and build relationships with key industry contacts
  • Responsible for establishing an industry presence and relationships with relevant industry personnel
  • Demonstrate perseverance to penetrate new markets
  • Regular communication with personnel at Basler’s German headquarters which including face-to-face visits, video conferencing, telephone, and emails to share information on market trends and opportunities
  • Provide input on local issues including trade show participation, product positioning, advertising, communications, and other promotional opportunities
  • Effectively manage lead generation efforts program together with the inside sales team

Your qualifications 

  • With a successful and demonstrable track record of achievement in sales and marketing through distributors and/or respective dealer networks within a competitive B-to-B electronic environment
  • High degree of analytical skills, drive and determination
  • Technically literate with a track record of exposure and knowledge of industrial B2B markets.
  • strong experience in sales channel management is of key importance
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in order to create trust within Basler customer base
  • Must fit the Basler culture which includes treating others fairly, openly and respectfully
  • Results oriented with a high degree of accountability. Entrepreneurial work attitude
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and to parent company in Germany; total overnight travel estimated 30%
  • Ability to work with autonomously out of home office and and willing to be located in Scandinavia
  • Speaking Swedish fluently
