Basler's inspection system, which is designed for the detection of defects in solar wafers and has already made a name for itself on the photovoltaic market during the past year, is now available in a high-speed version. This means that you can even use the system inline in the fastest production processes in operation today.

In addition to the actual evaluation software for the inspection system, Basler offers an optional, so-called Office Viewer with a database. The inspection systems transfer the inspection results to the database. The Office Viewer is used to select inspection result data from the database and visualize it for analysis purposes.

To complement their cell inspection laboratory system, Basler will also be presenting the photovoltaic industry with an inline version of the system towards the middle of 2008. This innovation will facilitate automatic inline solar cell inspection at the final stage of solar cell manufacture, enabling detection of microcracks and other defects also at this point of the production process.

Visitors flocked every day to the International Photovoltaic Power Generation Expo, which was held for the first time from 27/02 to 29/02/08 in Japan. The visitors were not only from host nation Japan, but also mostly from other Asian countries such as Korea, Taiwan, and China. Among the exhibitors, on the other hand, were a number of well-known companies from Europe.
