And just ten years after its inception in 1997, Basler's components division has established an extremely promising position among the three global leaders supplying digital camera solutions to capital goods producers.

Vertex Golf is a leading provider of high end sports motion analysis systems as well as 3D golf and entertainment simulators. The company develops proprietary video and motion analysis systems used by golf facilities, major manufacturers, club-builders, instructors and many golf academies around the world. Most recently, Vertex Golf integrated our new high speed GigE Vision-based Basler pilot series camera into their high-end analysis bays.

Although Basler's older BCAM driver package will, of course, continue to be available, the current Basler pylon driver package provides a series of advantages for our customers. An available application note explains how to change easily from BCAM to Basler pylon and guides you through the process.

We are happy to welcome two new colleagues who joined the Basler team in December 2007 and January 2008: Wilfried Riehemann started in technical support in Germany and Ng Siew Hong as a sales assistant in Singapore.
