Basler’s new ace series is moving toward full production of the first models in March 2010. Former analog camera or IEEE 1394 camera users are especially impressed and excited about the small 29 x 29 mm size, the cost saving opportunities, and the low integration effort.

At the VISION show in Stuttgart, Germany in November 2009, Basler launched two new two megapixel aviator models with 67 or 62 frames per second speed. These cameras are now entering series production. The starting list price is 1790€.

Vision Systems Design magazine filmed a movie during the VISION show in Stuttgart showing how the Basler aviator and other camera and frame grabber hardware work perfectly together in a "GenICam over Camera Link" live demonstration.

Basler held a lottery at the ´09 ITE Exhibition in Yokohama, Japan in December. Participants could win a brand new ace camera.

Basler has performed a design study for a panoramic camera that can capture 360 degree images. The project successfully combines our different branches and skills such as optics, mechanics, firmware, and mathematics.
