Advance Network Video Appointed as Distributor for Basler IP Cameras in Russia
Basler has found a first-class partner, the Advance Video Network company, to distribute our wide range of IP cameras in the Russian market. Advance Network Video is already experienced in the IP camera sector, so they will be able to successfully support the Basler IP camera family, which has resolutions from VGA to 2 megapixels.

Russia is one of the main European markets for surveillance cameras. These cameras are becoming more and more important due to new infrastructure (train stations, airports, etc.) and new public buildings. In particular, the modern metropolis requires elevated security standards for the populace and is setting new rules for security. Basler is very well prepared for the high demands of the surveillance market and distinguishes itself from the competition by providing efficient, detail-oriented solutions. Basler customers benefit from several unique functionalities. One example is the Area of Interest (AOI) feature that lets users define regions within the original field of view to see greater detail in the surveillance images. These areas can then be transmitted via separate streams in selectable compression formats. Customers can choose between H.264, MPEG4, or MJPEG on one stream and can use MJPEG on two additional streams. This means, that a single Basler IP camera can, if it is configured properly, function like several virtual cameras.

In Russia in particular, it is very important to work with a local partner. Russian customers put a high value on regional presence and direct accessibility of contacts. As a distributor for Basler IP cameras, Advance Network Video meets these requirements in full.

MIPS, the Moscow International Protection and Safety Exhibition, is one of the key meeting grounds featuring communication safety and security industry developments. This year the show took place from the 13th through the 16th of April. In a 50 square meter booth, Advance Network Video presented the newest developments in security technology to an interested audience. With 230 exhibitors and approximately 12000 visitors, MIPS is one of the biggest security shows in Russia. Their appearance in the show was a great success not only for Advance Network Video but also for the launch of Basler IP cameras in Russia.

In the security sector, the Russian market in general is still strongly dominated by conventional analog cameras. However, the trend for the Eastern European markets in the next years will be toward digital cameras, and more and more new installations are already being equipped with digital IP cameras. In addition, we expect that the new lower-cost digital technology will increasingly replace the older analog technology. Just like Basler, Advance Network Video has recognized this opportunity.
