Basler Introduces IP Camera Family for the Video Surveillance Market
Basler has introduced a comprehensive range of versatile, high performance IP camera models for the video surveillance market

Basler’s IP cameras made their first appearance at IFSEC 2008 in Birmingham, England. The introduction of the IP cameras was extraordinarily successful. Visitors were especially impressed by the ultra compact all-metal housing (89.2 mm x 44 mm x 29 mm) and the innovative image compression setup.

The Basler IP camera family is comprised of a selection of the best Sony CCD sensors as well as high performance Micron CMOS sensors. With a total of five different models and resolutions ranging from VGA to 2 megapixels, the cameras are a perfect fit for a variety of surveillance applications. All cameras offer not only multi-level MJPEG compression with multi-streaming options, but also a simultaneous and independent MPEG-4 or H.264 streaming capability while keeping the frame rate at the highest level.

We are working with leading suppliers of video management software to integrate their software into our cameras. The cameras will be compatible with a multitude of video management software products in the near future. Due to this reason we put much effort into developing a stable API, thorough documentation and competent technical support for video management software suppliers.

We are also currently working to build an extensive network of dealers throughout Europe, the United States, and the Asia-Pacific region. Just recently, SANYO VIDEO Vertrieb AG of Ahrensburg took over distribution of Basler IP cameras in the German and Austrian regions.
