Basler Presents Innovations in Area Scan and Line Scan Fields at The Vision Show
Basler will present several new camera models at The Vision Show 2008 in Boston.

The Basler scout series was recently expanded with four new camera models based on Sony’s high sensitivity ICX285 CCD sensor. Customers can now choose from nine CCD and CMOS imaging sensors in both mono and color.

Basler is also expanding its mid-range Basler pilot camera series by adding a new sensor front end. This addition employs the new Sony ICX625 CCD sensor and expands the maximum resolution of Basler pilot series cameras to five megapixels.

New members of the Basler sprint and Basler runner line scan camera families will also make an appearance at The Vision Show.

The sprint series features a Camera Link interface and includes members with 2k and 4k resolution and speeds from 19.3 kHz to 140 kHz. Color versions of the existing models and the new 8k variants will be available in Q3 2008.

The Basler runner series includes seven models (six monochrome cameras and one tri-linear color camera) with 1k and 2k CCD sensors. The runner series features a well-established Gigabit Ethernet interface that is both GigE Vision and GenICam compliant.
