In a move to complement its existing operating base in Asia, Basler Vision Components has opened a sales office in Yokohama, thereby strengthening its business activities to better serve customers and prospects in Japan. Neopt will remain as our distributor and will continue to service established Japanese business.

Mr. Tadao Tamaru will head the sales office. He has been working as key account manager in technically focused markets. Basler opened its first Asian subsidiary in 1995 and today operates subsidiaries in Singapore and Taiwan, along with sales offices in Korea, Shanghai, and most recently, in Japan.

Until now, Basler-VC has provided industrial digital camera products to various industries in Asia through its Singapore office. However, by adding a new sales base in Japan, where many major industrial companies are concentrated, the company has substantially strengthened its Asian network. Also, it lets Basler provide a more rapid response to the needs of its customers.

We believe that local sales representation will help build customer confidence in the high quality and cost effectiveness of our products and in our brand. Our customers will benefit from this addition and our local presence.
