We now offer a board level version of our successful A600f camera family. The aim of the board level camera is to be a powerful, cost-effective, plug-and-play solution that targets OEM customers. This goal is especially well met when users combine the camera, the Basler BCAM 1394 Driver, and a standard 1394 PC adapter board. At only 21 grams and with a size smaller than a credit card, this lightweight device is especially appropriate for robotic applications. With their exceptional price positioning and small size, A600f Board Level cameras are an ideal choice for easy, efficient system integration. Automated optical inspections in the electronics and semiconductor market are especially appropriate target uses.
The cameras are CMOS sensor based and have a full frame shutter, an IEEE 1394 interface, and a very small footprint. They can operate at up to 100 frames per second at full 656 x 491 resolution. The cameras also include an Area of Interest (AOI) feature that allows them to operate with higher frame rates at lower resolutions. The addition of the A600f Board Level series to Basler’s portfolio of IEEE 1394 cameras establishes the company as the leader in adapting exciting new technologies to the industrial digital camera market.
The difference between a board level camera and a standard A600f is only a small change in the digital I/O ports. Because the TTL level I/O ports on a board level camera are directly connected to the camera’s electronics, they react even faster than the ports on a standard camera. Basler can implement many additional features on the board level camera, such as gamma correction, a frame counter, or time stamps. This ability is an exceptional benefit to the customer.
