Basler-VC has opened a sales office in France and recruited Sébastien Désessard as key account manager for the French market. BFI Optilas will remain as our distributor and will continue to service established business in France. With Sébastien supporting BFI Optilas’ activities and working with key accounts, our customers will be offered a more rapid response time and differentiated market processing.

Our local presence and Sébastien’s many years of experience with machine vision will ensure that we can meet the demands of this growth market. We strongly believe that our customers will benefit from this addition and from our local presence.

In 1991, Sébastien earned engineering diplomas in electronics and computing. In his earlier positions, he gained R&D experience as well as product management experience at a camera manufacturer. Sébastien’s prior professional roles also include a position as sales manager for machine vision products.
